Mornings
We become personally involved in intensive hands-on work projects in Detroit Michigan.
- Clean-up lots
- Board up empty, abandoned houses
- Paint murals on the houses
- Build a green house and plant gardens
Afternoons
We conduct Backyard Bible Clubs, ministering to over 300 plus children at Smith Homes.
Evenings

Evan Hartsell
Speaker for the week
Evan Hartsell is a graduate of UNLV with a bachelors of arts in communication. After being impacted with God's heart for at-risk kids at the Fresno Urban Internship in the summer of 2003, he founded Club Christ to make a difference in his hometown of Las Vegas. His heart to develop young people continues to fuel this Club Christ fifteen years later.
Who Can Participate?
Junior and Senior High Youth
who have completed grades 7-12! (Youth who have just completed the 6th grade are not yet old enough to attend). Every six youth of the same gender must be accompanied by one adult (21 years or older) counselor of the same gender. Counselors register and participate in all activities.
College Age Students
who have completed their first year of college are eligible to apply as a mentor for the week. They will serve as leaders to 12-15 students and lead in worksites, crew chats (devotions) and team building activities. Click HERE to apply.
Accomodations
have been arranged at Commonwealth of Faith Church near the project and BYBC area. Participants will need to bring a cot or air mattress (single bedding, unless sharing) and bedrolls. All showers, meals and evening activities are at the lodging site.
